Jeff Bartsch - Executive Producer
Producer Jeff Bartsch is a multi-faceted communicator and entrepreneur born in Adelaide, South Australia. Unfortunately for his future dating life, an early move back to the US eliminated any prospect of an exotic accent. At age 4, his mother caught him plunking out tunes on the family's piano and decided to start him on piano lessons. In high school, Jeff could be seen lurking in the halls of his rural Iowa high school with a VHS camera on his shoulder, shooting and producing all his own projects. College found Jeff studying music composition, Bible studies, and, later in LA, film production.
As a freelance film and TV editor, Jeff has worked on primetime content on ABC, NBC, FOX, ESPN, and many shows including Supernanny and America’s Next Top Model. Preferring not to spend the rest of his life in a darkened edit bay, he now focuses on producing through his company Resolve Entertainment.
Resolve’s first feature, 13 Months of Sunshine, is an Ethiopian-American romantic comedy currently playing internationally in theaters and film festivals. Stained, an award-winning futuristic drama, was the first film shot on the RED One camera ever to take top honors at any film festival (Best Picture, 168 Festival 2008).
With Resolve’s various freelancers and producing partners, current projects include multiple feature films, short-form branded content, and Editmentor.com, an online service that helps aspiring filmmakers and videographers communicate more powerfully through editing.
And while he regularly enjoys the lolcats at www.icanhascheezburger.com, Jeff has never actually owned a cat.
